Southern Railway Educational Qualification & Experience

Eligibility for Scouts and Guides Quota

President's Scout / Guide / Rover (or) Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
Must be an active member of any Scout organization for the last 5 years. The certificate of activation should be as per Annexure-I
Should have participated in two programs at National level or All India Railway level and two at State level.

Educational qualification:

Non Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) for Level-2 Posts: 12th or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. 50% marks are not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.
Level - 2 Posts For Technician Categories: Act Apprenticeship / ITI. No other qualification including Diploma in Engineering will be accepted as an optional qualification. Act Apprenticeship / ITI Certificate should be approved by SCVT / NCVT.
For Level - 1 Posts: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Southern Railway Level 1, 2 Post Age Limit

The minimum age limit for Level-2 is

UR - 18 to 30 years
OBC - 18 to 33 years
SC / ST - 18 to 35 years

The minimum age limit for Level-1 is

UR - 18 to 33 years
OBC - 18 to 36 years
SC/ ST - 18 to 38 years
