UPSC Civil Service Exam Notification 2024 : Age Limit

Candidates applying for the CSE exam should be aged between 21 to 32 years, with relaxations for certain categories.

(1) The age of the candidate should be 21 years and not more than 32 years

i.e., the candidate must not have been born before 2nd August of the year as on 1st August, 2024,
1992 and not earlier than August 1, 2003.

(2) The relaxation in the upper age limit prescribed above shall be:

(a) up to a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Caste
Tribe;

(b) up to a maximum of three years in the case of Other Backward Class candidates
The categories who are eligible to avail the benefits of reservation applicable to such candidates;

(c) up to a maximum of three years in the case of disabled Defense Services Personnel
Issued during hostilities with a foreign country or as an operation in a disturbed area

(d) up to a maximum of five years in the case of ex-servicemen including commissioned officers.
