A. Must be a citizen of India.

B. Age: The applicant must not be below 20 (twenty) years and not more than 30 (thirty)

Classes-A and Other Backward Classes-B candidates and by 3 (three) years in case of
Transgender persons.

Upper age limit for the departmental candidates shall be 35 (thirty five) years of West
Bengal Police only having requisite qualification. The upper age limit shall further be
relaxed for the departmental candidates by 5 (five) years in case of Scheduled Caste &

Other Backward Classes - B candidates and by 3 (three) years in case of Transgender

No departmental candidate shall be allowed to appear in the competitive examination
